What is 15th August?

চুয়াত্তর বছর কেটে গেলো, আমরা কি এখনো স্বাধীন? সকল ভারতবাসীর মনে জাগে এই প্রশ্নই সারাদিন। পতাকাত্তোলন হয় রেড রোডে আর হয় রাজপথের সামনে, দাদা- দিদি পতাকা তুলে ভাষণ দেন দুনিয়ার সামনে। কত সরকার এলো-গেলো, আর বললো উন্নয়নের কথা, প্রগতি আর দেখলো না গো আমাদের ভারতমাতা। দারিদ্রতায় পরিপূর্ণ আমাদের এই দেশ, এখন যেন মনে হচ্ছে ছিল সেই সোনার পাখি ছদ্মবেশ। এই সময়টি দেখার জন্যে যারা দিলেন প্রাণ, কিভাবে ঋণ শোধ করবে তাদের হে ভারতমাতার সন্তান। ১৫ ই অগাস্ট এখন হয়ে উঠেছে সবারই  কাছে ছুটির দিন, এই দিনটার প্রধান কারণ যেন ভুলেই গেছে যুবক-প্রবীণ। সকালে উঠে সোশ্যাল মেডিয়ায়ে শুভকামনা জানাতে যেন ভুল না, তা না করলে তুমিও আর ভারতীয় হওয়ার মর্যাদা পাবে না। এক বৎসর পরে স্বাধীন হওয়া চীন হলো শ্রেষ্ঠ অর্থনীতিতে, আর কোথায় আমরা গর্বিত ভারতীয়রা পরে রয়েছি নিম্ন মদ্ধবিত্ততে। ফসলের ক্ষতি ভারতে ছুঁয়ে ফেললো আকাশ, এতো কৃষক তাই ত্যাগ করছেন তাদের শেষ নিঃশ্বাস। স্বাধীনতার বুলি বলা হে নেতা-নেত্রীগণ, একবার ঘুরে দেখে আসুন আপনাদের প্রজাদের স্বাধীন মন। পথে, ঘাটে মাঝরাতে সকালে-বিকেলে, পারবেন আপনারা সুরক্ষিত করতে আমাদের মা-বোনেরে ? কত বাংলো, কত হোটেল কত উঁচু ইমারত যে ফাঁকা আছে, তও এখনো সেই দৈন্য-আশ্রয়হীন মানুষেরা রাস্তায় পরে আছে? একবিংশ শতাব্দীতে বাস করি বলতে লজ্জা করে, কুসংস্কারের এই  চক্রব্যূহে আমরা আছি পড়ে। যারা বলেন র্যাম মন্দির আর বাবরি মসজিদ আমাদের আলাদা আলাদা চাই , বিস্বমাঝারে তারাই আবার বলে ওঠেন যে র্যাম-রহিম ভাই ভাই। স্ত্রীলতাহানী, খুনোখুনি রাজনীতিবিদদের কত যে পথ আছে, কিছু না হোক, কূট রাজনীতিতে কিন্তু ভারত এগিয়ে আছে। এইবারেতে কোরোনার প্রকোপে যখন সবাই বাড়িতে আছো, একবার বেপারটি ভেবে দেখো আমরা কি হতে পেরেছি যোগ্য ভারতীয়। ভ্রাতৃবোধ আর ঐক্য-সম্প্রীতিকে করে নিয়ে মূল মন্ত্র, হে আমার সহোদরের ভেঙে দাও সকল প্রতিকূলতার যন্ত্র। মাতৃত্বের যোগ্য প্রতিদান দেওয়ার সময় যে ঘনিয়ে এলো, আমাদের জন্মভূমিকে সকল অধীনতা থেকে মুক্ত করি চলো! Translation:

Seventy four years have passed away, are we really independent?

In each and every Indian's heart this question is present.

Flag hoisting is done at the Red Road and in front of Rajpath,

The PM and the CM hoists the flag and gives a speech in front of the whole earth.

Many governments came and gone, and said the words of development,

But friends, our Bharat Mata didn't go through any betterment.

We are within cruel binding of poverty,

Now it feels as if the Golden bird was a disguise which seemed to be quite pretty.

The people who gave up their life to see this day,

Hey, the children of Bharat Mata, how will you repay their debts, please just say.

15th August turned out to be a holiday,

Toddlers to Adult everyone forgot the motto of this indelible day.

Don’t forget to express wishes on this day in Whats app and Facebook’s story,

Or else you will be an Anti-Indian, and not get any chance to tell a sorry!

China got independence one year after us but is the largest economy,

And we are still holding the respected position of developing country!

Crop failure in India has touched the sky,

So, the souls of the farmers are saying their body Goodbye!

Hey, the political party leaders, who give long speeches on freedom,

Go and inspect the hearts of your subjects about how much do they get this freedom.

From dawn to twilight, roads to streets, here to there,

Can you make our sisters and mothers’ safe each and everyone?

So many bungalows, hotels, high high buildings are at a state of vacancy,

Still so many people spend their nights lying down in the streets due to the absence of money.

I feel ashamed to say that I dwell in the 21st century,

We are stuck within this Labyrinth of superstitions which is pretty nasty.

The people who tell, separation of Ram Mandir and Babri Masjid is our solemn demand,

Those people are only often found to tell Ram and Rahim to tie Rakhi in each other’s hand.

Eve- teasing and confrontration, political leaders have so many paths,

Nothing else but at least India can come first in black politics’ maths.

This time when we all are indoors due to this pandemic situation,

Once we must think that are we really behaving with Bharat Mata as if being the children of her in relation?

Taking the oath of brotherhood and unity,

My dear siblings, break all the instruments of hostility.

Time has come to give the Mother a worthy restuition,

Can’t we free the mother this year from all sorts of domination?
