Salute to Mother Bengal (বঙ্গমাতা তোমারে সেলাম)

মা' প্রথম পথ চলা শুরু হয়েছে এই শব্দটি দিয়েই। পৃথিবীতে এই কথাটি হয়তো কেউ অস্বীকার করবেন না। তারপর, 'Mom, Mother, বলতে বলতে আর হয়তো 'মা' শব্দটি উচ্চারণ করাই হয়ে ওঠে না। ঠিক তাই একই অবস্থা এখনকার আমাদের এই বঙ্গ প্রজন্মের। তাদের এটুকু মনে রাখতে হবে যতই তারা অন্য ভাষা কে আপন করে নিক,দিনের শেষে তারা বাঙালি। হোক না ঘটি-বাঙাল, মাঠে লড়াই থাকুক ইস্ট-মোহন এর মধ্যে, হয়ে যাক ইলিশ-চিংড়ি লড়াই তবেই তো হবে সে এক প্রকার খাঁটি বাঙালি।সারাদিন অন্য ভাষায় কথা বলে এবং মাতৃভাষাকে অপমান করে কখনোই নিজেকে বড় ভাবা যায় না। আমরা অনেকেই পড়েছি মাইকেল মধুসূদন দত্তের কথা। তিনি বাইরে গিয়ে প্রতিটি ধাপে ধাপে ধাক্কা খেয়েছেন। এবং তাকে শেষে বাংলাই পথ দেখিয়েছিল। বলতে দ্বিধা নেই, এই বাংলা 'নেতাজি সুভাষচন্দ্র বসুর' বাংলা,এই বাংলা 'রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুরের' বাংলা, এই বাংলা 'ঈশ্বরচন্দ্র বিদ্যাসাগরের' বাংলা, এই বাংলা 'স্বামী বিবেকানন্দের' বাংলা, এবং অনেক মনীষীর বাংলা যারা গর্বের সঙ্গে বাংলা ভাষাকে সর্বোচ্চ স্তরে নিয়ে গেছেন। তাহলে ভেবে দেখুন এই ভাষার মাহাত্ম্য যখন এত বেশি তখন এটি কে বাঁচিয়ে রাখার দায়িত্ব কার? ভেবে দেখুন নিশ্চয়ই পারবেন।

So think, who is responsible for keeping this language alive when it is so great?
